Angela and Paul have over 25 years experience dealing in the model railway trade and are real railway modellers. We opened our shop in Newport in 2004 and were featured soon after in the Railway Modeller. Our stock and range has grown continually since then through the success of the shop and our stands at model railway fairs across the country. To succeed in the trade against larger and more widely known mail order suppliers it is necessary to give our customers very good value for money. Certainly when you take the cost into account of all the accessories and smaller items that model railways seem to devour alarmingly, we can honestly say we give as good a value as you will find from any other retailer.
We have successfully built a regular clientele of serious modellers who keep coming back repeatedly. Service is important to us making sure we do everything to obtain specific items for customers, personally delivering goods locally if necessary and giving customers a mail order service at cost with no extras hidden in the charges.
However it's difficult to beat calling into a good model railway shop to browse. When you want to do that we are sure you'll find AP Models exceeds your expectations for such a small shop.
We want to develop according to customer needs so if you have any feedback that may help you or us about our products, prices and this website we would love to hear from you.
What customers have said about us on independent websites* Angela and Paul provide an excellent service from their tiny but extremely well stocked shop in Newport. They are quite happy to take an order for anything not in stock and even a casual remark will see you requirement met. Matthew Holmes , Cosford, Shropshire - 11 Sep 2006 - 9/10 Little shop, vast stock, very helpful and pleasant staff. Maurice Grantham , Crawley, West Sussex - 11 Aug 2006 - 7/10 What a marvellous shop. Oodles of stock stacked floor to ceiling in a space that most people would regard as too small for a layout! Extremely good prices too. Well worth visiting if you're in the area. Ian Morton, Telford - 25 July 2006
