A few pictures of the disused Avontuur Station, at the end of the 177 mile 2ft gauge railway from Port Elizabeth, SA, taken on 1st November. Compare with plate 5.32 in Hugh Ballantyne's book "South African Two Foot Gauge", Middleton press, 2009.

The plinthed NG15 is 147, adjacent to the station rather than actually at it!

Nice photos - though it's a same it's not still open. I recently blogged about photos and videos that I'd found of the Avontuur Railway. I've updated my post to include a link to this thread.
