ianfolland Posted November 8, 2009 Share Posted November 8, 2009 A few pictures of the disused Avontuur Station, at the end of the 177 mile 2ft gauge railway from Port Elizabeth, SA, taken on 1st November. Compare with plate 5.32 in Hugh Ballantyne's book "South African Two Foot Gauge", Middleton press, 2009. The plinthed NG15 is 147, adjacent to the station rather than actually at it!
