Creek Basin ( may change)

One of the positive effects of the 2010 2mm Expo was meeting with Martin Allen (HAVERHILL SOUTH) and a conversation which led to the formation of a 2mm South Kent area group. By good fortunate we are able to utilize Canterbury Model Railway Clubs premises so we have a home. It is a small group 3-4 regulars and after a year of looking at various 2mm bits and mainly problems ( that a be me then with the problem ) it was time to be more constructive hence the last meeting involved crawling over plans laid on the floor for a simple test track / group project. Regulars interests are varied from Steam Trams to Light railway through to my latest dabble with early BR 3rd rail. Trying to combine that lot would be shall we say difficult although eventually we reached a fairly basic solution of a classic Inglenook with tram in the background. Somehow it morphed into a riverside quay area (it’s those Faversham folks) the only radical departure been that instead of the tram tracks ruining on a elevated roadway over the Inglenook they would crossover with the “gate” to the Inglenook forming the shunt limit while the tram ran on the roadway.
