Next up will be a Javelin Dukedog.

It has been started and I will make a few modifications mainly to the frames. I think I will do 3 point compensation using the bogie pivot as the cross rocking point. This will at least mean two thirds of the weight will be on the drivers. As you can see it has been around some time.

I am unsure about the body the gaps by the firebox look wrong. It also looks like it was assembled with low melt solder or neat lead, I have yet to check. But I have a feeling it will be coming to bits, I then can add weight in the boiler behind the front drivers.

I need to get some axles for the drivers and the tender wheels from Telford. I also want a new safety valve the one in the kit is naff yet the kit boasts a lovely copper chimney and nicely cast dome.

Well that's all till November our holiday Beckons. Then I may well transfer these builds to a thread.

Hi Pete, another interesting project - no doubt you will turn it into a jewel. Great to see these abandoned old projcets being brought back to life. Have a good holiday!

Thanks Mikkel

It is all done very nicely, but it just does not look right. I will know once I get back. I am on a long holiday so will not be starting until November.

I have just started the David Andrews Duke which I'm sure shares much of same basic design. Plain sailing so far and some good brass castings to finish it off.

Judging from the state of that front bogie, it could be an interesting build. Will be good to see how you tackle that rust and corrosion. Slightly disappointed that you're not doing a much better 4-4-0 though...a T9.

I will soon know, I have a few extra bits and the tender wheels now, so there should be no stopping whenI am home.

I agree, but this might pay for a 4-4-0 of my own. But I am thinking more of one of the smaller wheeled Adams types. As muchas I like T9's everyone has one. I may also do a Drummond K10.
