Here is the state of play so far.

I have now got the main body made, complete with solebars but not the foot boards. The duckets where a bit a of a pain to do, but I am sure this was more about them being reformed.

I am still trying to find out about the lining in later days of the S&D. It has been interesting finding out about these vans, hopefully by that time I will have the answers.

As you can see even after all the cleaning up I did there is still a lot of solder from the previous build. I do not think this will affect the final finish.

It will be running a Slaters Midland 6 wheel chassis, which has gone together very well. I have not used one of these before. It has 3 fold up gaurd irons which 2 have a wire soldered on as a rocking pivot, and one end as 2 wires running the same way as the axle to act a slide. On the two outer ones the is a long plate to take the brake gear wheels and screw pivot hole. The centre one just takes the wheel and slide within guide across the width of the chassis. There are 2 spring wires that will run from end to end, which I presume will keep it all tight when running.

The photos, probably explain better than I have.

Next I wil add the footboards and the mounting plates for the chassis pivots. then onto sorting out the mess that is at the moment called the roof.

You got problems in "O" with the duckets: I have the "OO" kit to build!

The problem was that hey had been formed badly by the one who made the PBV in the first place, and there was solder on the back that was very difficult to clean. They would of formed to shape quite easily if they had of been new.
