So here we are. Not sure about the paint finish or the photograpy- need to put proper safety valves on and do a bit of weathering, but the loco is substantially complete. Now all I have to do is finish the layout :locomotive:

Looks very nice Richard - look forward to giving it a spin on the colliery!

My almost finished Raithby 4F is in the Railex 2012 thread. Hopefully we will see more of these finished in the coming months following the 4F workshop this coming weekend lead by Nigel Hunt with Missy Julia and myself hopefully being of some help.

I got my new Raithby 4F etch a couple of days ago and this batch have been done in nickel silver which is much nicer to work with than brass so looking forward to getting stuck in to that.

Anyone who fancies building one of these should note they are now available from the 2mm Association shop again after an absence of many years - but you need to be a member to get one.......

I'd love to see more of this when you're happy with it. It looks cracking to me.....

Ooooh, how did I miss this little gem!

Fantastic work as usual Richard. I am assuming its the Raithby etch you have used? As Jerry said hopefully there will be a collection of these soon, it would be fantastic to have a line up of these engines oneday.

Thanks to all of you who have been so generous in their comments and encouragement. Yes, it is a Raithby etch, (I have another one to do at some time.) Perhaps one day there will be as many 2mm models as there were prototypes!
