The Big Big Build - The Typhoon Tale Part 3 - The End of the Tunnel!

The build that started on June 6th (2017) is finally at an end.

 

This set of photo's, show the undercarriage installed, cannon access panels partly painted and the frankly massive prop painted.

In this pair, it's the canopy completely painted and partially installed

Next few, the cannon access panels all finished painting (these took nearly two days to paint) and everything not glued positioned as it will be after adding the transfers

Ugly and deadly. Probably should never have been sanctioned but filled a gap in the national arsenal at a vital time. Very nice piece of work.

To true, a failed Fighter (it was designed as the replacement for the Hurricane after all), that became a lethal weapon in the ground attack role in the hands of Allied Pilots.

 

No wonder all those decades later, the German partners in the Euro-fighter program got a tad upset when it was decided that Typhoon name would be resurrected.

Thanks Chris, she's keeping my 1/24th Scale Harrier GR3 company along with a few 'friends in other scales' on top of my Wardrobe ;)
