Sproston - Running more trains...

Following on from my last blog entry, this is the rest of the operating session, made possible by the completion of two recent important projects - installing train detection in the hidden sidings, and fitting indications for the three sets of points therein to the layout's control panel

The 8750 class pannier departs from the main platform with a 'b' set.

This is followed by the arrival of a 3 coach semi-fast train made up of Collet 60' stock and hauled by a 4575 class 2-6-2t running bunker first which is signalled into the main platform, the loco takes water from the crane alongside the stationmasters house.

The auto train standing in the bay now departs for the junction.

Next arrival is a pair of light engines, a 45xx and a 57xx, After stopping at the signalbox for instructions they are separated, with the 45xx running into the loop and the pannier shunting to the loco shed.

This is followed by the Collet 0-6-0 , which has been waiting patiently on the turntable road for a path, it backs out and runs to the yard, where it shunts a brakevan onto its waiting train of vans and on receiving the signal departs from the loop.

The 45xx now coasts out of the loop and runs forward, then sets back, coupling onto the rear of the semi-fast and drawing the stock back to release the train engine which runs into the loop. The stock is then propelled back into the platform again by the 45xx which now becomes the train engine,

- at the same time the 57xx pannier runs forward from the water tank and into the loading dock.

The main platform starter drops, and the train leaves.

The 4575 can now begin to shunt the yard and assemble its freight in the recently vacated main platform.

Phew!!,- think thats enough for now - more later, comments (good or bad) are always welcome -I have some more 'little people' to paint now - to add to Sproston's growing population....

Until next time, Regards,

SIGTECH (Steve).
