Hi,
The basket build starts. A bit of a head scratcher to start with as the top part (which is at the bottom in this photo needs to be folder over before forming the square using the sides which limits how the basket is held under the hold and fold.

In the (good old?) days when I was in gainful employment these things were called "stillages", not sure why!

They would be stacked, sometimes as much as 5- or 6-high by fork lift truck. The feet were either 1). shaped to nest over the corners of the one below or 2). had an inverted cup shape to locate with a knob on the top of corners of the other stillages. Can't tell which type of foot you have from the pictures, but looking at the etch I suspect type 1). ??

But, what an extremely neat bit of folding and soldering !

Just looked back at the earlier blog, and see that there appear to be inverted cup shaped feet in the etch, and do I detect something for top corner location? An impressive design.

HI DonB,

Many thanks for your infomation and kind comments.

Its always nice to know what the proper term for them is, with regards you question about the feet, the feet are made up of two parts, the foot (thats what im calling it) which has small fold up sides and then there is a small corner bit which i have soldered in to the foot and then soldered that to the basket.

I had tried superglue but they kept coming off so it was a bit of burning fingers time.
