ICI Hoppers.

Got in from a shift on the airport to find the first three of my Peak Forest hoppers had arrived.
Well Hell!!! To use a Pembrokeshire expression!!
Georgeous. See the slightly blurred photos.
They look spot on and they run superbly through the whole gamut of Peco points, both code100 and code75. Small radius up to single and double slips.
My fiddle yard and low level goods yard and industrial lines are code 100, the mainline and high level terminus is code 75.
Don't ask!! Given the way code100 has improved, I'd probably use all code100 now!!!
I am not getting into an argument about how things look! This is just my opinion, I am not knocking anybody about how they build their trainset!!! This hobby is a wide church!
Back to point!
The wagons are very nicely detailed and are not at all heavy. My 'worked on' Hornby Doublo, Scalespeed motored Black8s won't know they have 12 on.
12 is the limit of my fiddle yard loops.
The Bachmann 25 had no idea it had a train on.
Extra weight might be needed if a very long rake is your thing. I'll wait for the rest of my wagons to arrive before I pass judgement on that.
I will add weathering on them. I only ever saw two freshly outshopped examples in a train.
I now have to see if I can get a war chest for a second rake from the pretops era!!!!!
Well worth the money in my opinion, for what that is worth.
If anybody wonders what disaster area I took the photos in!!!
My fiddle yard!!!!!!!
Chris.
