Trackwork all complete

It's taken a little while to get all of the Woodlands Scenic TrackBed foam underlay in place and then all of the Peco code 100 track attached, but Newcastle Central is now starting to really take shape! I had a couple of areas where I had to re-lay the track underlay to get the curves around the platforms on the north end of the station just right, but pretty happy overall with how it turned out. Once the track is ballasted, you won't be able to see any of the areas I had to re-lay, so it will be fine.

I have all of the holes in place for mounting Seeps PM-1 point motors, so now I should probably go ahead and get those ordered. I need 25 just for the station itself - I haven't laid anything for the Tyne Yard itself, although I have a plan finalized for that. As I have the electrofrog Peco points and I'm using DCC, I snipped the two joiner wires on the underside of all the points and then soldered across the rails as recommended to improve reliability, but I do still need the point motors in place, or at least switches to flip frog polarity, before I'd really be able to get trains running. I'm hoping all the curves on the platforms work out okay, as it's a little hard to change at this point!

I put together another YouTube video for the channel to show the current state of the layout, along with how I went about preparing the and attaching the Peco points and flex track.
