Firstly, hello and welcome to my blog showing the construction of my latest layout Port Penbridge. hopefully it will be as fun to view the progress as it is to make the layout. any tips, tricks and advice wil be greatly appreiciated and taken on board. I apologise if the quality of the first few posts are pretty poor as I am still getting used to the system. any tips in both blogging and layouts
The Layout is around 9 feet including a sector plate for the transfer of stock between the fiddeyard and the main scenic section. with a width of 2 feet. the initial concepts for the were taken from a number of other smaller projects over the years and is my first attempt at a layout built to a high enough quality to be exhibited. there we a number of things I wanted so I created a list. these included, a shunting puzzle two coach trains an the ability to extend the layout should I want too. The Story so Far
As of this blog I have laid the track on cork tiles as well as installing a very basic method using some bike spokes and wire. this is just to see me out to the point when I will install the PECO Smart Switch System and began to construct the platform. this being in its early stages. From now I will try to upload at least once a week .
