Hi,

Well, it is only a week anyway until our next exhibition:

• Saturday 7th January: Maidenhead, Marlow & District Model Railway society exhibition at Cox Green Community Centre
  

It is the first show of the year in these parts and a nice little community show and helps you to get back into the spirit of modelling after the festive period and a chance to buy bits and bobs for the layout that you need to run that loco you got for christmas on!

As I write this, we are about to get out the boards for Hythe to dust them down and give them a clean. Hopefully later on a train will be visiting from Aylesbury Depot to carry out some track cleaning and sandite application (There's only one, the depot staff had to split it to get into the depot building):

According to TOPS, It arrived at the Depot on the 25th December 2011 ready to work this train, but due to festive shut down of the railways will be completing the journey down to Hythe today and will be making several trips on the lines around Hythe on the 7th January.

Of course all of that is rubbish, but I did get a Bachmann Network Rail MPV for Christmas, you can see it on Saturday at the show! It's a beautiful model, I haven't been able to run it yet because I have no layout up to run it on!
