Ropley - Trackwork progress

Hi all.

 

Just a couple of quick photos showing the current state of track laying on Ropley. The yard entry point is now motorised, the Barry slip is complete bar a couple of check rails and the points for the C&W shed lines are coming along. Unfortunately I'm now waiting for a fresh supply of sleeper planking having run short following the re-positioning & re-building of the yard entry point and a fresh supply of sleepers to finish the yards plain trackwork.

With a bit of luck, the trackwork could be finished by the end of this month and then it's on to landscaping!

Have a go! It's not as difficult as you'd expect. I would recommend using the jigs made by the 2mm scale association though, especially for producing the frog, and a good file is essential for the blades!

Nice Tom. Are you going the whole hog? Would love to see it engulf the Station, carriage and boiler shop and of course the engine and wheel drop sheds.

Hi Martin.

 

Space limits me to just the yard area at the moment, with a little of the shed & wheel drop and a portion of the Carriage & boiler shop. However another board could easilly be added with the station on, and that is the long term plan once space allows!
