planning
Ok a decision has been made

Scale: 4mm
Gauge OO Peco (modified) Code 75 ... so nothing too surprising there.

Plans still being formulated but as it stands sector plate driven and containing 5 points

The board is 20 inches deep at its widest and 10 ft long along its viewing side. - 2010
It is 5 inches deep at its narrowest.
It folds up into a box 5 ft x 25 inches (that's 5 times 5 in case you missed it)

... and I haven't stopped yet

Inspired around a Scalescenes Factory assuming I can print it out on my antique printer and then get it to go together.

The name? Well if you hadn't spotted it "QUINT" = 5 ;)

Provisional outline trackplan - just to illustrate

Now that is definitely upping the ante on 'fives' - sounds like it could be fun :)
This does sound good Kenton. The Scalescenes Factory looks promising - pity it doesn't have 5 floors Posted Image. Any thoughts on stock? You mentioned some shunting locos in the forum thread?

Stock ? Not a clue :D - I guess some vans - goods in and out - Period 60's ish so I'm going to have to do some new research.

The shunters: well none to be seen together The NB 0-4-0DH of course. I have a Class 14 (my third build - and I'll try to avoid all the errors on the last 2), another Sentinel  and a Taurus (I'm a bit in awe about building - I keep putting off but don't know why). I also have a Class 7 lying around somewhere that needs a new motor and a RTR Bachman 08 and :horror: a DCC Hornby 09
So ignoring any EWS interest there is/should be no problem with motive power.

But just about all my stock is way too early (by about 40 years) so watch this space for questions.
