Nice neat job. I feel your pain with the carpentry :). A compound sliding mitre saw and a friend with a table saw has ended a lot of woe.

Thanks. :)

The circular saw is a godsend. Mounting on a chair isn't the safest way yet the space is cramped and so I just use what I have.

These small bits I had to hand cut couldn't be done with the saw so I had to do it manually.

I'm crap at cutting straight!

The offcut 4mm ply' piece I decided to use the knife and just brawn it. Experience tells me a hand saw likes to just bounce and wobble about.

Got there eventually. Bit rough around the edges but we are mostly there. Now it's just the board connectors. So much soldering to do!

I've seen a lot worse attempts Knuckles, don't be hard on your self. Following a line and cutting striate comes with practice.

I used a similar technique to make my control panel, even to the point that I also used a knife to cut the ply sheet, how I've still got my fingers I don't know. Anyways yours looks better than mine by a long shot!!

Also no worries about typo's. I do it all the time with touch screen.

I am no chippy that's for sure. Knifing the thin ply probably is the hard option but it doesn't bounce and snag all the time this way.

For the bigger stuff the circular saw is a boon. Set up isn't the safest but I seriously lack room to do things 'properly.' :-/

Anyway. Progress is being made on the board connectors....slooooouuughhhww progress. So many solder joints.....
