The base board bridging bits are here and now in place

And I have spend a pleasant evening playing around with the easi trac turnout operating units the pics will show how I fitted the first one

This took about an hour of cutting and fettling the unit. still was a lil off centre i think next one i will drill hole and offer up the tie bar to get the rectangular hoe smaller.

Now its time to lay sleepers and start track laying.. Slight bit of good news ......... i can have a weekend at home as the gf

( SWMBO ) says she will be busy with PANTO this weekend ......... oh yes she will

Great to see the progress on the layout. :)

I may have missed it somewhere but are you using the Easitrac points (I saw mention of using the track so I'm guessing you are)? Just from experience, I found that using the aluminium jig for the crossing can be a bit of a challenge, but eventually I found that 145' solder and pre-tinning worked OK.

I shall continue to watch with interest

Looking good so far. Your fitting seems pretty good, in my case the more critical the hole the more likely I get it wrong.

Steve i am building the track with copper clad sleepers a straight onto the Templot drawing i was going to use easi trac but decided . to be traditional lol

and its working out easier as i can run the rails full length without joins . I will only cut them when i decide where the breaks need to be .

Michael i need to work on the fettling as its about 1.5 mm on the wide side i must admit Missy has got me striving for perfection as she is achiving in High Clere
