Trip on Streetview anyone?

For those interested I've been looking at the Hebridean Light Railway proposal details to determine just where the Isle of Skye's railway would have run. I've now managed to get it onto Google maps in a very basic form. It doesn't 100% match the drawings yet, one day I'll update it so that it's as accurate as possible.

There is a description of the first stage of the line from Isle Ornsay to Broadford on my blog here: http://hlrco.wordpre...y-to-broadford/

In other news, I've been working on a bogie fish van based on a prototype on the Londonderry & Lough Swilly Railway in Ireland. My model makes use of a cut down Parkside Dundas GWR bloater van.

The full width L section used to represent the truss rod supports will become less visible when it's painted black, and when it's up the right way it obviously becomes less visible anyway.

This method has also been applied to the Ratiobash, something I've been meaning to do for a while. Both vehicles are now the same height too as I've adjusted the bogie pivots on the Ratiobash.

Here are the roof braces to ensure it all stays nice and level when applied as the sheet is quite thin to remain a realistic thickness when clad with tissue.

And the HLR's first loco is beginning to appear:

The full train consisting of the Roxey Mouldings Troodos, ratiobash and bloaterbash (!?).

This is how far the loco has progressed, obviously a bit rough around the edges and still requiring filler in the joints on the tender.

I look forward to seeing some primer on that stock - it's coming on nicely. I'll take a look at your site now as well :) Thanks for sharing!

I've looked on Googlemaps and GoogleEarth - cannot find anything. Can you send the link??

Nice to see the 'GW' influence so far North!
