First running session

A momentous occasion at Isle Ornsay today, the first public operation of the under construction Hebridean Light Railway. The contractors had cleared their tools and equipment out of the way to allow the public a clear view of how the site would look when the line is completed.

All point operation was carried out from the central box and several locos and one railcar were in operation for display runs.

However, now that this milestone has passed the contractors must pick their tools up again to continue the work to enable trains to leave Isle Ornsay yard and wend their way towards Broadford and beyond.

Nearly finished then, Tom!

Haha. Nowhere near sadly, Ian. I'm not rushing this one for any exhibition invites so it'll take it's time to get finished.

Thanks Markus, they are made by Roco and fitted with Digitrax or Zimo decoders. Will keep you informed, but there's more detail on my website: http://hlrco.wordpress.com
