Evening all,

Just a quick update to say that work on the layout has now seized ready for the one day exhibition at BHMRC tomorrow.

Today the layout was erected on its support structure and last minute jobs ranging from works to the front fascia including a few descriptive images and storyboard to the rear fascia track plan diagram with notation for the magnets, isolating sections and turnouts - old school stuff this :)

Here's a few pics and I will report back after the show on whether Kyle will get to stretch its legs further afield or its a disaster and will get early retirement :D

Great display and presentation. A wonderful advert for 2mm. You must be very pleased with what you have achieved, I know I would be.

I think it looked and performed splendidly... thanks for letting this non2mm modeller near the operations side and it was fun coping with those minor derailments when the ahem points were set wrong I did learn ... eventually. Hope the rest of the afternoon went well and I hope we'll see more of Kyle soon.

Thanks Jon - Thanks for all your help today too...it was fun...the 3pm G+T rounded things off nicely...Many thanks all for the likes and kind comments - overall, bar a few sticking points it performed ok (it hasn't been run for more than 30 minutes continuously for 5 years now :O) so it will live and I hope to try and exhibit it again - I will give it 24 hours then post my thoughts in a separate blog...

Just seen that! Thanks Mickey - they didn't catch the moment when the 26 bogies went sideways over the turnout :D
