47635 started out life as a Graham Farish 47 in two tone green, from the original 'up on stilts' batch. Apart from the ride height, there isn't much wrong with the model, and 5 minutes with a file brings the loco down. The major work involved making an accurate version of this particular variety of 47, rather than correcting errors. Most of this centred on modifying the underframe to the no-tanks version, with just the battery boxes. The boxes are retained from the original Farish moulding, with triangular plastic card mounting brackets and various bits of wire for the pipes. Wire handrails and lamp irons have been added to the ends to compliment the side handrails Bachmann supply. The front end is detailed with a combination of TPM and Bachmann parts, and a full repaint, roof fading and weathering completed the job.
