Thoraldby Station and crossing (IMG 2858)Wizard scratchbuilt Ratio Classics Corgi Wills Modelmaster
Thoraldby Crossing (Wills, the crossing cabin and small shed are from Modelyard) with the station behind. The green flatbed is on its way back to the coal depot, the BR van is Classics and the red United Automobile Services bus behind is Corgi with Modelmaster decals (Corgi produced unliveried single decker Leyland Tigers, the customer liveried them accordingly with Modelmaster decals, number plates, destination boards and all)! There is a freight working in the station on its way out of area with (Parkside) Bogie Sulphate wagons headed by the well-weathered (Bachmann) WD 2-8-0 90446 (51B), tailed by an unfitted (Dapol/Airfix) brakevan. Thoraldby station building is based on an NER pattern of stone construction from the early 19th Century minus its overall roof and as yet not furnished with platform awnings to replace it. [Nice to know the Pickering overall roof has been replaced. I have yet to see it fo myself].
