4571 slows for Polbrock with an afternoon service from Wadebridge to Bodmin. The locals drink a huge amount of beer so the pub ownrs has his own jalopy to meet the pick up goods!

I'm pleased with how the home-grown photo-backscene looks, it adding depth to what is a very small layout. The only CGI is the fake smoke effect. Proof that the background really is part of the model is the shadow cast by the telegraph pole!

The lovely bridge is courtesy of Gwrrob of this 'ere furrem. Scenery has advanced a little since this photo was taken.

Lovely modelling Chris, especially the weathering on your 45xx.The bridge aint bad either !

Thanks - it's far more complete that when you saw it. The layout is now in a presentation box with 1ft high curved backecene and built in lighting making it look alot bigger. Part 1 of my Workbench feature for Model Rail starts in the next issue (2 weeks time) and I hope to take it to Model Rail LIve at Barrow Hill this September along with Arne Wharf.
