Aerial view of scrap Lima cabs

....now, everyone knows that Lima's idea of a production Deltic wasn't really up to much. Thought to have been designed originally for 1:87 scale, someone at Lima suddenly realised that the main customer base modelled in 1:76 scale. Cue plenty of distortion in various places, except length!

However wrong the resulting Lima Deltic was, what we're interested in is just one part of it: the windscreens. This aerial view shows that Lima actually came very close to getting the windscreen curvature and "V" shape right. As a means of short-cutting things, and saving time in correcting the Kitmaster mouldings, these windscreens might be just the ticket.
