edcayton
What is the little brassy/coppery thing next to the smoke box door? Ed
RMweb Premium Hilux5972 Posted November 29, 2016 RMweb Premium Share Posted November 29, 2016 What is the little brassy/coppery thing next to the smoke box door? Ed It's the steam lance valve. Used with a hose to clean out the smokebox and tubes.
coachmann
Was there anything else 0 gauge on display at Warley? Heljan and Dapol products maybe?
steve fay
I believe the 128 parcels rail car from Heljan was and Dapol had a 3D printed Jinty body shell along with some of there new wagons. coachmann
Telford is traditionally the show for O gauge announcements That's what I was thinking Steve. I have a sneaky feeling the smokebox/boiler is not fully seated in the saddle on that 61XX. Whatever it's deficiencies, I'll still buy one and attend to any necessary alterations. Absolutely correct, when lightened and cropped you can see it is sitting quite a bit proud of the seat..........

norman
Nice to finally see the CAD images of the Class 25 - I'm no Class 25 expert but it looks pretty good. I notice that Tower are still showing June/July 2017 for delivery but with Heljan closed for annual holiday until August I wonder when? Anybody recently heard or seen anything on expected delivery? 84B Oxley
Update on Tower models due date changed to next year 2018 1st quarter The wheels just don't look right in the photo on Tower's website, the rims are far too thick. Body looks excellent though! Jeff

RMweb Premium Hilux5972 Posted September 4, 2017 RMweb Premium Share Posted September 4, 2017 Very nice. I love how this was announced after the 47xx and it now on its second ep, but we haven't been shown anything from the 47xx. It's almost like they aren't interested in OO Gauge, like its an after thought.

steve fay
Apparently they've delayed the prairie as they are keen to get it right! They've also changed the production site of the recent 009 model as they wanted a better quality model. Hopefully when the 47xx comes out it will be spot on and they'll also give it some miracle grow and do a 7mm option!!!!
Miss Prism
5105, new out of the shops in 1929 for its works grey portrait, and looking rather handsome. The works foreman will be ticking himself off for letting it go public before the lamp irons were fitted...
TEDDYBEAR D9521
This project has gone quiet any news on the 61XX Prairie just hope Heljan don't bring out the 63XX at the same time. Edited January 10, 2018 by TEDDYBEAR D9521
steve fay
Last update was just that they wanted to get it right, they have switched production of a few models to a new manufacturing site so whether that’s holding anything up I’m not sure. TEDDYBEAR D9521
On the latest catalog from Hattons a mate of tells me it’s says release date is 2019 is this right or a printing error.
