Valentin
Hello, In some RT Models instructions I've found the following reference: "Model Railway Journal. No. 12 of 1987 contains a very useful article on the Colonel Stephens pair of Old Class I’s [Manning Wardle & Co.] and drawings". I went to the British Railway Books website for this MRJ issue but I couldn't see a title to suggest the article I am looking for. Before ordering the back issue I just want to make sure that it's the right one. Could someone who owns MRJ 12/1987 check for me, please? Thank you,
BG John
Yup. Pages 27 to 33. An article with a 7mm scale drawing of an I Class, drawings of the modifications for 'Sidlesham' and 'Morous', and lots of photos.

The article is entitled 'Morous and friends' (The Nomadic Manning Wardles) by Don Townsley with drawings and photographs of the locomotives. As a 2FS modeller you will also find an interesting article by Mike Bryant entitled 'Chassis Building in the smaller scales' with a sub-title 'The essentials of split-frame construction in 2mm scale'. You will recognise most of the techniques described! David

Valentin
Thank you all for the prompt replies (quicker than making a cup of tea)! I've ordered the magazine on eBay (£3.99 vs £10 + P&P on "British Railway Books"). Regards,
