Presumably 07001 carried HNRC Orange livery between 1989 (when it was purchased by HNRC) and 2012 (when it was sold to the Heritage Shunters Trust).  Rail Express indicated that this shunter was on hire to Mayer Parry’s Snailwell scrapyard (1989-1993), where it acted as yard shunter, and Creative Logistics at Salford (2001-2009).  (see http://www.railexpress.co.uk/news/heritage-shunters-trust-acquires-pioneer-07).

I suppose that a repaint into HNRC Orange was probably most likely in 1993 and it seemed to still carry that livery into 2013, even if it has apparently been repainted since.  Although it was clearly working in the Manchester area during my favored time period, come 2017 I may have a "just suppose it was hired elsewhere theme".

I worked on this shunter quite a few times for Harry and she carried her Peak Forest yellow livery for a long time under his ownership, she worked at Mayer Parry in this livery. She got her HNRC livery early in 2000 before going to Salford in 2001

Hi all,

I'm sure the majority of you have seen the first samples of Heljan's 07 either on here or at Warley. We received the blank colour layouts and have prepared these for our exclusive release in HNRC livery. As ever, they're now available to review below. For such a small locomotive they are crammed with detail and in its unique livery (for the class) even the chevrons are different to standard liveries!  These have been produced from many images of the locomotive as it worked in various locations from 2005 to 2015.

Hi all,

We've now received a painted sample for our exclusive Class 07 in HNRC colours.

We're really happy with it. The detail is very fine and the printing is crisp.

We've noted a couple of very minor ammendments with Heljan and can't wait to get them in to stock in due course.

And price has gone up by £20 (statement of fact, not a trigger for more price debates!) to £119

Hi,

The price for this is now confirmed at £111 now that the RRP has been confirmed by Heljan in the past week. The original price was an estimated value as listed.

Cheers,

Dave

Hi all,

We've received a production sample from Heljan showing the finished version of 07001 in it's attractive Harry Needle Railroad Company livery.

This showcases all of the fine detail ranging from the wasp stripes on the body to the controls in the cab.

The model also features metal handrails and separately fitted end detail, including high level pipework and box for the air compressor.

Received my HNRC 07 today, it really s a weighty model. Took it to my club layout, It did have a bit of a waddle for the first 10 mins or so. However after 30 mins each way it runs beautiful. The level of detail is excellent, and slow running is very good. Mine will receive a DCC chip soon but I must say this is a belter of a loco.

Anyone do a sound project for one of these?

Noticed the photos on Hattons web site (on my laptop anyway) make it look yellow rather than orange, I presume those shown above in the thread are correct. tempted to buy one - been trying to work out how to justify a 07 given they were very restricted in sphere of range due to running hot axleboxes, so having ruled out one for the layout in its mid 60s BR guise, one for it in preserved mode would be more apt.

EDIT - seems to be a laptop screen issue, just moved it forwards on the image above and it they changed from orange to yellow!

Try Wickness Models - discussed on main thread

But a word of caution, in that thread, Linesideohotos, who says he works with the Eastleigh 07 daily, says the Wickness sounds aren’t right.

Roy

Yes, sound like the sister loco's (LSSH type) which are hydraulic where as the 07 is electric traction powered
