Penlan
The dates for 2016 Cardiff Show are 15th & 16th October. There's no big Rugby matches on that weekend in Cardiff to spoil the Hotel bookings, so hopefully this year all will be well. If your visiting and staying over night, I think a refundable booking, rather than not, is advisable at present.

Penlan
Pessimist!! What could possibly go wrong? I don't know, but then I can always cancel the refundable booking and hope that 30 secs later it hasn't already been booked out and do a non-refundable booking, saves £40 over the 2 nights. John_Miles
The organisers tell me the school have confirmed the booking this week, so now it's just the hotels.

John_Miles
According to my contacts, Squires have been confirmed again for this year and there is a new trader, Mike Hobday (he is an ever present at Warley) delaing in second hand models and ephemera. Penlan
According to my contacts, Squires have been confirmed again for this year.. They are busy that weekend, according to RM they're also at Dundee and Uckfield.
mike morley
Squires do have a history of turning up, having a row with the organisers then flouncing off in a huff. Perhaps they are building up alternative venues for repeat performances?
John_Miles
Squires have always been fine at Cardiff. They cover a number of shows per weekend because they split the work between them. Mr Squires himself usually does the Cardiff stint and one has to admire the amount of work he puts in. Their stand is huge, he brings in all the stock himself and is the only person there all weekend. He used to sleep in the van but at the last show (18 months ago due to the Rugby) he was given a bed in a local hotel by the organisers.
Gordon A
A link to the show details would be useful. Sorry chaps there appears to be two threads. The other thread has the show details. Perhaps they ought to be merged? Gordon A
