Satan's Goldfish
Feeling a little inspired by the Pedigree Petfoods article in the latest DEMU Update, can anyone provide anymore information on the 30ft curtain sided containers please? Completely over shadowed by the Charterail lorry trailers it's tough to find any pictures or information on them. From looking at the few photos i can find, I think they are 30ft long, 8ft wide, and either 8ft or 8ft6in high (can anyone confirm which?). I'm assuming they have ISO fixings on the bottom corners (one of the Update photo's lists them as being on KFA flats) but did they have them on top too or are they non-stackable? Finally, being 30s, what lorry trailers were they moved on? standard 40ft skeletons or older (shorter?) flatbed trailers? Ta ta!
RMweb Gold Scottish Modeller Posted February 16, 2016 RMweb Gold Share Posted February 16, 2016 Hi SG, S Kits produce a resin moulding for these curtain side containers. There should be more info on the DEMU Forum for them as well. Thanks edit - Bedlam George and/or Dave Tailby may be of assistance in this. (I gave Dave my last one at Glasgow last year.) bennyboy
I know there's a small picture of one being loaded onto a container flat at Ardwick West in Rail Express Oct 2013.
