RMweb Gold Strathwood Posted June 29, 2016 RMweb Gold Share Posted June 29, 2016 Does anyone know or have an authoritative record of Class 08 liveries as delivered when new from the various works? This can tie in with the impending launch of Dapol's 08 in O Gauge well. Which works and what numbers turned them out new in black with old style crest and 13xxx numbering, likewise for 13xxx early crest in all over green, then what variations with the numbering such as small D prefix etc. Some have been noted with stripe variations, which ones and when? Then having passed into the "standard" green with wasp stripe era some works favoured different positions for the later crests? As the blue liveries came in some had variations in running plate, buffer beam and coupling rod colours, anyone notice a pattern or is totally random? One or two blue examples enjoyed mirrored arrows having been applied the wrong way round and some had no arrows at all? All info gratefully welcomed.
