Are you sure the layout isn't called CLATTERFORD?

You are correct.

I'm watching threads of two of my 'chums' attending expo em north this year, look out for greyscroft and fryers lane. They detail the micro detailing as they prepare for the show.

Greyscroft is looking to rust up some 'harrows' and Fryers Lane is building fiddle yards.

Fryers lane today has left us with a cliff hanger tonight....

Please look them up, sorry this Luddite hasn't fully cracked links

Cheers Andy; looking forward to you helping to operate Fryers too. There is a link in my signature below this post for anyone wishing to keep an eye on how the layout is progressing. I'm hopeful that anyone who saw it at Scaleforum last year will see some fairly significant changes.

The harrows are rusted and in place, photo on the layout thread later, need to finish some jobs on the next couple of boards next.

Is there any reason why you haven't invited societies that cover the southern half of the UK? Eg Southern, Great Western, Welsh railways??

The answer may be in the title, ExpoEM North.

ExpoEM can invite the southern ones.

The Societies invited are those which had an impact on the railway's development in Manchester and the North.  A number of the Societies invited declined to attend.

I suspect some societies have difficulty manning their stalls. I should be there on the Saturday on the GCRS stall, but I didn't exactly have to pass an exam and go through interview to get the gig.

Only a week to go!!!!!

A big push from me this weekend to get several jobs finished off on Fryers Lane in readiness for the ExpoEM North.  There are scenic bits that I've been working on off-board to fix down in their final positions and I'm currently in the middle of track laying in the new fiddle yard.  Will I get it all done in time?  There's only one way to find out; see you there...

edit to add: if anyone knows where I've hidden the track gauges I've just spent 30 minutes looking for, do let me know

After a small amount of attention, "Narrow Road" is ready to go. It will be touch and go as to whether the latest loco, a NLR 4-4-0T will be properly finished so if you see something brass coloured pulling the NLR carriages, don't be alarmed.

After a very enjoyable and rewarding exhibition career, this will be the last time "Narrow Road" is exhibited, so it will be very much a "last chance to see" for those that are interested.
