Our 7th Annual Open Day will be held in the Milland Valley Memorial Hall, Iping Road, Milland, GU30 7NA between 10.00 am & 4.00 pm

Sunday 23rd October

Adults: £2

Up to 2 Accompanied Children FREE with each Adult

This is not an exhibition more an expanded regular club meeting, with displays of the club and its member's work. More relaxed than formal exhibitions, with plenty of opportunity to sit & watch the trains or chat to the operators. We are not too busy to answer questions about the layouts or the hobby.

Layouts will include club offerings Freidrichstrasse and our still to be named Southern 1950s 00 layout (set in the west country). There will also be up to three club member's layouts covering a range of countries and scales.

In a first for this event, we are featuring a visiting 0 gauge layout from the Farnham & District Model Railway Club called Haydon Square, to celebrate the 60th Anniversary of the Gauge O Guild this year.

For details of Haydon Square, which is currently at an advanced stage of construction.

Teas, coffees and cakes will be on offer in the hall, but there is also the village shop (which shares the hall car park) and a decent pub about a minutes walk up the road. There will also be a small second-hand table selling various interesting bits and bobs.

We shall be collecting at the open day for Railway Children an international children’s charity working with street children in India, East Africa and the UK. There will also be a selection of their railway themed Christmas cards for sale.

Just a little bump for this. The open day is on Sunday from 10:00 until 16:00. Confirmed are 6 layouts covering German, US and the UK. The Farnham club are providing our visitor this year, which looked very impressive at their show the other weekend. Looking forward to a day and talking and playing trains!
