JAMO
Well, it’s how a lot of our words started... ...a lot though, are the result of applying Norman French spelling to Germanic words, which destroyed the phonetic spelling then in use. I mention this, so that next time you hear one of your countrymen complaining about the English language, you can remind them that the mess was largely the fault of the French-speaking aristocracy. And emmerdé means in the...? Yes, exactly. In another word "annoyed"

JAMO
More work... The installation of the third turnout. I've extended the road bed and added the turnout, the extension of track.

JAMO
More work... And when ready, the track is screwed to the board.
JAMO
Hello all! More work on this first board... I've positioned the board to have an easy access underneath. I have installed a simple system to switch the polarity of the turnouts' frogs. I just use a micro-switch: from China it's very cheap for a pack of five or ten. Code 100 rails are used to make "rods".
JAMO
I've made a mistake: the third track is too close to the second one. So the RS-3 rubs on the cars' sides. So I've decided to put off this third track and to lay it again at the good place. I'll don't use the second turnout because the spur length is only for a car, no more. So I've decided to save this spare spare for scenery. The sleepers are positioned. The gap between them isn't exactly always the same. This track is not very well maintained and the brass screws are in place ...
JAMO
The work has begun on the second board. On the main I use a #6 turnout on the main and a #5 to connect the loop track. Code 100 Peco rail on the loop track and code 125 on the main.

JAMO
Hello all, from across the Chanel! After a long period of hibernation, because of the cold weather of the basement, I'm working again on the layout. The "end of the line" with the engine shed track didn't please me. A new line to another direction looks more interesting for operation and permits to extend the line. Remember: The new baseboard... and the track To be continued...

JAMO
Thank you Peter. But I think my work (the sleepers) are too nice, to square, too "new". A good weathering when completed can help me to obtain a better track: less clean.
JAMO
I'm coming back to my Intermountain 55t hoppers building after a little year without news. My health (my eye) lets me the opportunity to work again. I've lest some of my capacities but I can tell you to model trains is a good therapy for me. The grabs are so fragile I've decided to swap them with .5 mm diam. brass rod. I've installed a micro chain to connect the Ajax brake wheel to the bracket connection underneath the hopper. I've cut the non realistic KD tails before to install them. That's all for today! Edited April 11, 2018 by JAMO
