Tony Davis
Went into Smiths today as I thought that 251 was available, it wasn't. Now my local Smiths is some way away and it's an effort to get there so I thought about a subscription and that's when confusion set in. The Newsstand website offers a years subscription for £69, it says there are 12 issues per year, that works out at £5.75 per issue Unique Magazines offers a years subscription for £46.99, it says there are 8 issues per year, that works out at £5.87 per issue. Both those issue prices are obviously quite a lot above the shelf price. So, how many issues are there per year? Does anyone offer a more reasonable subscription fee? Thanks, Tony

Tony Davis
Thanks Grovenor, I'll see if I can dig out a chequebook from the drawer. So is it 8 issues per year then? Thanks
Grovenor
Pretty much 8 per year but the subs are for 8 issues, however long it takes! (you can also subscribe for 4 issues at £18). Issue 251 was forecast for 17th November but mine has not yet arrived. Issue 243 was this time last year. Regards
Tony Davis
Thanks, and yes, I get your point about a year being a year, I was just wondering why the £69 website offered 12 issues per year.
garethashenden
Thanks, and yes, I get your point about a year being a year, I was just wondering why the £69 website offered 12 issues per year. It's 12 issues. Probably spaced over a year and a half. Different subscription lengths are available as well; 8 issues is £46.25, 1 issue is £6, etc.

BA1 7DE Thanks, that's all great (and correct) - I have just finished reading issue 281! The change of address was explained in the Editorial: "the loss of our [Didcot] premises through the sad closure of our landlord's business".
