rue_d_etropal
First coach arrived today, a day early! Helps having weekend inbetween. Some might not like gainy feel to plastic, but it can be sanded down, one reason I did not add ibts like door handles and handrails. This is HO version I have the other 2 coaches being printed at the moment. Chassis will be scratchbuilt, using the jouef/Playcraft HO BR bogies. Eventually I will get EMU done in OO gauge as well. I want to find drawings of other LMS EMU stock, the GEC compartment stock in particular, as it was used in London ,Merseyside and Manchester. The Altringham units were obviously overhed powered so are slightly different. There were also 2 parcels cars(conversions) used on Southport line. There are a lot of different EMUs used on Merseyside lines, and makes sence to try and do as many as possible.
rue_d_etropal
all 3 coaches now arrived. Given them a bit of a rub down then painted with acryllic and emulsion paint. Mant grunble about roughness of finish but most could not scatchbuild anything close

rue_d_etropal
I want to get on and build chassis. Plan to use bogies from old Playcraft HO coach. A bit short possibly but better than I could do. Plan to use an Endo motor bogie as it is thought they are beter than Tenshodo ones. I am already thinking about the GEC version, but I want to tackle some older Southern Railway units.
