Each Photo is 1.x Mb so will not load sorry about that

On a PC, you can use Paint and resize the picture. Take the largest one, reduce by 10% and save, then check the size, keep doing this until you are below the 1Mb limit. Then apply that reduction to the others and you should be able to upload them all.

Cheers, Mark.

May I offer some advice, ditch that speaker and get yourself an iphone 6 speaker, its slim and small but with a much better sound range

Is it compatible with loksound 4

Do you have to put the loco to your ear to hear it?

Thanks Dave,

These photos helped me get the chip working and you really went above and beyond for a e-bay seller!

Does anybody have any suggestion as to fitting a different speaker that fits the 21 pin chassis for a class 20 (32-035A) i see there is 2 screw slots so i presume these are for locating a speaker.

I tried Bromsgrove models to find they have closed down.....any suggestions to where to look on the net?

I mite re-blow the chip so advise as to the best sound file would also be helpful.

Cheers

For 21 pin class 20's, I've had the cast tank area milled away to take a standard speaker, facing down. Which, I am told, is the best way for the speaker to be directed anyway.

Don't know why and I don't know if it is a load of old tosh.

Any ideas about the best position and orientation of a speaker?

For steam locomotives I suppose the least appropriate position would be the tender, which is where most speakers are fitted.

I bought some ZImo speakers from Youchoos at Warley, 2 Dumbo pairs in a 3d enclosure and a single in a 3d enclosure.  bit more expensive than the iPhone 6 above but they are fantastic.  Fitted the pairs to a class 47 and Class 24.  The single went in a 25.  Going to look to put a single in my class 20's.

All sound is from Legobiffoman.

I bought the Paul Chetter project on a V4 from Digitrains at Warley. That comes with a speaker that fits direct to the designed space on the chassis. Excellent crisp clear sound, superb sound project (though the Network Rail radio thingy making its 'ping' doesn't suit  my 1960's green period!) and the whole set up was only £87 :)

The speaker comes as you see it in the second half of the clip

Thanks Bescot. I've just placed an order for the last 5 speakers from the link you provided.

If nothing else, they should transform the locos with factory fitted sound as the speakers and housings that the RTR suppliers provide are a bit ropey.

One word of warning, these speakers won't work with the old ESU 3.5 Loksound, down to the impedance of the speaker, they will work with ESU V4 Loksound chips though
