old Railway Modeller magazines

Hi guys

I've recently come into possession of a large number of back copies of RM, effectively every magazine from 1975 up to 2006 (I think, not sure as not at home as a I write this).

I personally have no use for them and proposed selling them on. Does anyone have any suggestions as to the best way to go about this. I know they are not worth a lot money and was thinking £1 a magazine plus postage, or perhaps sell them by the year.

Anyone got any experience at selling such things?

all ideas gratefully received.

Having  been  involved with  a  heritage  railway  selling  second  hand  books &  magazines  these are  virtually  worthless,  you  might  get  a  pound  or  two  for  a  year set  if  your  lucky,  doubtful  if  anyone  will  want  to  pay  postage  on  them,  individually  it  is  difficult  to  even  give  them  away.

Sorry but no real value.

We give them away at own exhibition to anyone who wants them, we also try to give copies to children to encourage railway modelling.

Other than that it's the recycling centre, I do try if possible to save interesting articles.

Please don't put them in the recycling. They just get pulped.

If you can't sell or pass them on, then give them to a charity shop instead. They sell them to World Of Books or other such organisations, who then sell them on the internet. Makes a few quid for the charity as well.

That's where places like Magazine Exchange get them from. http://www.magazineexchange.co.uk/railway/
