Stephenwolsten
This message is also posted in the forum on modelling real locations: For those interested in harbour railways etc, the February 2017 issue (vol 31 no 2) of Backtrack includes an article on the railways of Dundee harbour. The article sets this location in the wider contest of street running railways, and includes a table listing many other examples. By coincidence, the February 2017 issue of Steam Days has a 14 page feature on Aberdeen harbour railways and the Waterloo branch. Both articles contain plenty of inspiration if you like short trains, sharp curves, docks etc.
EddieB
A good article (Back track) when it describes the specifics of road running in Dundee (and elsewhere in Scotland), but I felt sadly let itself down when selecting just a handful of examples from so many elsewhere (particularly overseas). (Still to read the companion item in Steam Days).
RMweb Gold phil_sutters Posted April 20, 2017 RMweb Gold Share Posted April 20, 2017 One photo not included, as far as I know, is this one taken by Dad in 1952, when we were on holiday in Monfieth. More photos from that trip in my Scotland in the 1950s album http://www.rmweb.co.uk/community/index.php?/gallery/album/4133-scotland-in-the-1950s/
