reggie
Hi All, Just thought I would post about The Model Shop, Northampton. i have been in the shop a few times over the last few months, today to buy the latest Hornby Flying Scotsman release. Their prices are as good as many of the major online retailers, and they happily fitted a DCC Decoder, (bought from them of course), while I i waited. They stock a great range of locos, rolling stock, kits, senic materials, paint etc, as well as other modelling ranges. In these days of internet shopping it is nice to go into a shop, get good service, buy what you need at a good price and take it home. No waiting for deliveries! I do think it is important to support smaller retailers too if possible. Having said that they do have a good website too if you cannot visit the shop. So if you are in the East/outh Midlands area anytime they are well worth a visit. Cheers Reg (I have no association with them btw, just a happy customer...)
George Woodcock
Hello Been using them for years. Nick, Jem and the staff provide a faultless service. As Reg says you need to support your local model shop and we are very lucky in Northampton to have one of the best. Cheers George

outcastjack
Just an update, I was in recently and it is still excellent. Great selection of models, scenic supplies and track (and plastic kits and even some radio control stuff if that is of interest), the prices are good. They are perfectly happy to order stock in if they don't have it. I no longer live anywhere near Northampton but this remains pretty well my favorite model shop. 1

RobinofLoxley
Just an update. I visited this week for some scenic materials and was delighted to find everything nicely laid out and for Railway stuff generally pretty good prices.
rob D2
I’ve had a few good things by post from them - used to live up the road but for some reason always went to the shop in Wellingborough or Barby
