Could you try using pencils or chalks on those white window frames?

As it's all stuck in place I'm a bit wary of messing up the whole window. I might give it a try on one a bit later.

Or I could use the story that the factory has had new windows fitted recently ;-)

A little bit of progress, I've added some 'leaves' on the bridge, they must have fallen from a tree nearby somewhere! And painted some of the yard area using some techniques from Gordon Gravetts book, gloss paint and some ash and talcum powder sieved on.

Looking good Steve. The missus isnt just a pretty face either- some great work from her too! Has Ken booked YOU for Shenfield next year yet? I think he ought to! He likes a few micros at the show!

Thanks Dave. I'm pleased with how it's going at the moment, never thought about showing it though.

Added a warehouse, just got to weather it a bit better, had a disaster with the humbrol weathering powders, and bed it in, the graffiti will be covered with a fence and weeds etc.

Been planting weeds and brambles! Next step is to paint the fence and fix it in place, I've got a Lifecolour Weathered Wood set that I've been wanting to use for a while so finally I can!

Fence painted and fixed, I had a small problem as all the weeds I put in wouldn't let the fence sit upright so they had to come out! I'll put them back as soon as the glue has dried.

Fence all finished. I've now got to move on and put something in between the tracks in front of the bridge, I was thinking about a hut or grounded van body but I cant really make my mind up yet.

Steve.

I actually find that a grounded van would be better (in my opinion) as it's something that would look good and will really catch people's attention. A hut is still a good idea although if it was me I'd go for the grounded van. It would also be a good scratchbuilding project, and a base for weathering practice too.
