RMweb Premium Hilux5972 Posted March 4, 2017 RMweb Premium Share Posted March 4, 2017 Hi all Am I right in thinking that this is the first standard release of a West Coast loco in Bachmanns range? I know that 32-390K, 32-752Z, & 32-780V were Ltd Eds. Have there been any other standard releases? Regards, Ryan

Shoey
Looks like a big t*rd.... Could they have a less imaginative paint job ?? It does look brown doesn’t it?.. I always thought or IMO to have seen the WCRC colour to be a deep/dark maroon colour. Or am I colour blind? lol
No Decorum
Looks like a big t*rd.... Could they have a less imaginative paint job ?? Yes, it is very plain. On the other hand, I have seen some imaginative paint/vinyl jobs which lead me to think that WCRC livery could be a lot worse. Good can be difficult and original can be difficult but good and original is bloody difficult.

rob D2
But at least they are keeping the locos running! Very true. The saving grace is the half yellow panel which I quite like

RMweb Gold adb968008 Posted July 20, 2018 RMweb Gold Share Posted July 20, 2018 I was looking at two of these 47’s and thinking of a renumber. However it looks like 47245 is completely unique in WCRC livery, with the Headcode orange socket, cut away cabs at both ends. Any other is more than a just a renumber and/or eth pipes. rob D2
Cut away cabs should be common with 47/7s and some /8s ? The orange socket , can it be removed , filled and touched up or respayed easily ? Surprised they use this 47/0 as it’s a bit limited for charter stuff

D6775
47802 only needs the buffers replaced with class 60 style buffers. Otherwise it's the same as far as I can tell. 802 retains full bufferbrams and not the cut away version, it’s harder than you think. I thought 237 but that is flush one end.
