steve1023
Hey guys. I was just wondering if somebody know's which steam engines are currently operative at the Snowdon Mountain Railway. When I last visited in 2010 it was just No's 2, 3 & 6. I did read sometime ago that No5 was being rebuilt but a Google search doesn't say if the work was ever completed. Can anybody help? Thanks in advance Steve
Marshall5
No5 has returned to service recently, see:http://www.steamrailway.co.uk/steamnews/2017/3/9/no-5-makes-it-four-at-snowdon Ray.
RMweb Premium Andy Kirkham Posted March 21, 2017 RMweb Premium Share Posted March 21, 2017 Given that fewer steam locomotives are now needed than in the past, and that it is a commercial business rather than a preserved railway, have any actually been scrapped? Graham456
Seeing that even the one that chucked it's self off the top at the start, still has bits put back in service I don't think anything has been scrapped, but like grandads axe a few new heads and shafts have been fitted over the years

Think that useless DMU has been turned into razorblades though.
