Once in a while I see people refer to their signatures as in, for instance "... I will add an entry to my blog about it (see signature) ...", but I can't see their signatures.

I would expect the signature to be at the bottom of the post, as is usual on other forums, but I see nothing. I'm using the latest version of Safari on Mac OS 10.11.6 and the content I see in Firefox is no different.

Am I looking in the wrong place, and what exactly should I be looking for?

TIA,

David

RMWeb – Adding a Signature

OK – this should be a fairly easy task – even if you are not red hot on the computer!

First of all – Go to the Forum Index page or any of the content pages.

You will see a page with a header something like this:-

The bit we need to use is in your profile settings which can be accessed as shown below.

Click on the down symbol beside your forum name

Click on the text ‘View Profile’

This should take you to a page that looks something like this:-

On this page we are going to use ‘Edit Profile’ to access our profile. Click on the ‘Edit profile’ text box

This should take you to a page that looks something like the one below:-

On this page we now need to make the changes to our signature. Click on the ‘Signature’ text box.

This should give you a page something like the one below.

If you don’t have a current signature then both boxes will be empty. If you already have a signature both boxes will have that signatures information displayed.

Now – you just need to add whatever information you want into the bottom of the 2 boxes.

This can be straight text, hyperlink, photo – more or less whatever you want!

You use the various editing and formatting buttons just like when you post on the forum.

Any questions - just ask!

Thanks

RMWeb – Adding a Signature

Scottish Modeller, many thanks for the info.

The only problem I have with it is that I was asking how to see other people's signatures!  :scratchhead:
