darren01
There has been an add running on TV for the past few weeks about the future of the Railways, Bit of a strange thing at the end of the Add the old BR Logo popped up. So why is the old BR logo being shown?, Also on my local news was filming at Weymouth station and right in the back ground was a nice new shinny BR Logo. Gives the impression where going back to BR days?. Darren
Bomag
It's still a logo of 'national rail' which is why all road signs etc still use it. It may be an urban myth but I read that in the 1990's they were looking at new logos. Even after correcting for lack of existing 'exposure' the nearest they got with an alternative was about 50% of the various metrics of the arrows of indecision score. I think another main driver was the cost of replacing all those signs.
