Andy Y
31-653Z Class 47/7 Diesel Locomotive number 47 706 in ScotRail livery with NSE branding and weathered finish. We asked Bachmann to re-create the shabby paintwork of this loco as it was running in the early to mid 1990s and they have faithfully captured the flaking paintwork on our model. In stock now, we have DCC ready (21 pin socket) for £159.99, DCC Fitted for £179.99 or DCC Sound fitted for £259.99 (DCC fitting is carried out by our own staff in Cornwall). This model is limited to 512 pieces and is supplied with a numbered certificate of authenticity. Shoey
Blimey, Bachmann and Kernow really have been busy! Fantastic range of limited edition locos from them, this one a first if I'm right with a 'flaking' finish. Well done to all at Bachmann and kernow! mevaman
Looking at Flikr this loco in this condition travelled quite widely. Regular on Exeter-Waterloo but seen on inter-regionals as well as the odd engineers' train. Great choice and great finish on the model.
Waverley West
I can't look Nooo!! Desecration of one of the smartest and most attractive liveries to grace any loco IMHO. Sacrilege. Very nicely modelled sacrilege though by the looks of things.
luckymucklebackit
Sadly it was in this condition before transfer from the Scottish Region, her is 47706 at Millerhill before removal of the Scotrail logo, some heavy oil spill also a feature Jim Edited April 7, 2017 by luckymucklebackit
owentherail
Oh my, this will go with my 47423, 47712 in red and 47430 perfectly. Thank you kernow
RMweb Premium brushman47544 Posted April 7, 2017 RMweb Premium Share Posted April 7, 2017 (edited) Wow; was I the only one to guess right? The weathering looks good too. Another Mercig effort I presume. Edited April 7, 2017 by brushman47544
37081LochLong
I got the email from kernow this morning on my phone, I saw the tiny picture of a 47/7 in Scotrail livery and I immediately clicked the image to go and buy one... Then I saw the NWSE branding oh well that saved me some money!
phil gollin
. The weathering is fantastic
rob D2
Blimey , did kernow find gold mine in Cornwall rather than a tin one ? Must be considerable investment all the stuff they are doing
RMweb Gold colin penfold Posted April 7, 2017 RMweb Gold Share Posted April 7, 2017 I can't look Nooo!! Desecration of one of the smartest and most attractive liveries to grace any loco IMHO. Sacrilege. Very nicely modelled sacrilege though by the looks of things. Surely you could retro fit it back to Scotland Dave. Those NSE logos wouldn't be hard to remove and you must have a scotrail logo in the spares box!!!

owentherail
Those NSE logos will come off with your finger nail, if it marks it won't matter, will add to the weathering.
RMweb Premium Hilux5972 Posted April 7, 2017 RMweb Premium Share Posted April 7, 2017 Ugly thing innit. Fantastic job on the run down weathered condition though. Possibly one of the best I have personally seen from a big manufacturer before.
47423
Looks excellent, well done Kernow. I always remember it looking a state on the Mule in 92. Duly purchased and looking forward to seeing it in the flesh.

daveymills
I have a habit of choosing difficult locos to model and then a RTR comes out later :-) https://www.flickr.com/photos/daveymills/9625407774
