Geoff Endacott
Five weeks from now we ought to have most of the show set up. I hope it isn't going to snow. Geoff Endacott
Geoff Endacott
Four weeks to go and the forecast is snow. Fortunately that's for this weekend, but somehow I doubt that mid-April will see temperatures in the low twenties as we did last year. Geoff Endacott
I have now added three more layout preview videos. YouTube is very useful. Geoff Endacott
fluff
Four weeks to go and the forecast is snow. Fortunately that's for this weekend, but somehow I doubt that mid-April will see temperatures in the low twenties as we did last year. Geoff Endacott Having just got back from a ten hour stint driving a gritter/snowplough in East Yorkshire with another session due tonight, I've had enough snow for this year. If it snows for TRAINWEST, I'll cry then emigrate!!
Geoff Endacott
Six more previews added above. That's now 12 of the 20 layouts featured. Geoff Endacott
Ian Stewart
What a good idea to feature "Layout Previews". I presume it's to encourage visitors to turn up, (hopefully them not having to brave yet more snow, and us to suffer another Ketteringgate). I'm unlikely to get to deepest Wiltshire, so I find the "Layout Previews" fascinating to see what modellers have achieved. I watched "B A Bodil", and then wandered off to a 0ng logging line via a Youtube link. Both superb, and a trackplan idea from logging, to a Sector freight only layout. I've just watched the magnificent "Fence Houses" which will send me happily off to bed. How far is it to Wiltshire? Well done that man.
Geoff Endacott
How far is it to Wiltshire? That rather depends on where you start. As the previews seem to be popular I have added another three. Geoff Endacott

Geoff Endacott
There seems to be a slight problem with our plan for a shuttle bus to and from Chippenham Station on the Sunday. No trains. Thanks Network Rail. There is a replacement bus service from Bath Spa, which will involve people travelling along the A4 to Chippenham, almost past the door of the exhibition, before arriving at Chippenham Station. They would then have to catch our shuttle bus back to Corsham I think I need to come up with a different plan. Geoff Endacott

Geoff Endacott X31 bus goes from Bath bus station to Corsham and passes close by the venue. Alternatively a shuttle bus from Bath Spa if network Rail will let you? Geoff Endacott
I think I've solved it. On Saturday the revised rail timetable sees trains arrive at Chippenham Station hourly from Bristol Temple Meads at xx.56. The rail replacement bus arrives hourly from Reading at xx.58. Our shuttle bus times have been revised accordingly so that an hourly service for Trainwest will leave Chippenham Station at xx.10. In the afternoon trains for Bristol leave at xx.10 with the replacement buses for Reading leaving just before that at xx.07. Our shuttle bus has therefore been timed to arrive back at Chippenham Station at xx.00 to connect with these services. There are no trains to and from Chippenham on Sunday so we will not be running a shuttle bus. Visitors wishing to use public transport on Sunday are advised to use the X31 bus service to and from Corsham. I hope that will work. I you want to make a comment about the difficulty getting to the show by rail, please talk to the people on Stand 48*. Geoff Endacott * The Network Rail information stand. tc
We've given "Empire Mills" a test, before breaking it down this afternoon ready for the trip next weekend.
