Conrail Joe
It adds alot more realism to operations, and really slows things down, making an op session last longer! I highly recommend it!
jrossouw79
Hi Mal! I really like the 'overall view' picture from post #109. The NS GP38-2 looks good and with that factory fitted ESU decoder makes for a nice loco. I recently got myself a East Penn Railway B30-7 from the last run. The only dislike so far was the new style packaging from Atlas. Its a pain if you want to store the loco in the box after running it. Fastening the mounting screws and so on. Anyway looking forward to that first video. Cheers! Jacques

Conrail Joe
I love the look of those live loads!!
Alcanman
The loads are removable. Usually, 2 loaded gons arrive and the loads are removed, the gons becoming empties. When the next loaded gons arrive they are switched with the 2 empties. The sequence is simply repeated, as required. Conrail Joe
For operations, Do you use car cards/waybills? Or a switchlist?
Alcanman
I simply rotate cars using a simple sequence. Usually 3 inbound and 3 outbound. There are only 6 car spots so I work with a total of 12 cars.
Alcanman
Yesterday I weathered my new NS GP38-2 using this photo for reference. http://www.rrpicturearchives.net/showPicture.aspx?id=2847378 The trucks and fuel tank were first painted with enamels and then weathered with powders. The loco body was given a gray wash. Quite pleased with the results which are subtle and nicely tone down the shiny, 'out of the box' look of the loco. original 'out of the box'...
Conrail Joe
Looks great! I like the setting on the 2nd photo, the loco and scenery compliment each other very well!
Alcanman
Looks like the 'bomb cyclone' is heading for Marlborough as CSXT MP15AC #1173 switches Mass Container. Sad to hear of the fatalities caused by the extreme weather in the US. Our condolences go out to the families and friends of those who lost their lives.

Conrail Joe
How about a live interchange?! I have a boxcar load coming from the P & W. (N & D Transportation) routed to Mass Container. The customer requires a photo of the delivered box car on this thread!

Alcanman
Here's a new video of Marlborough in it's rebuilt form (without a run around - cars are now shoved from Marlborough Junction) featuring my new NS GP38- 2. I love the non-turbo prime mover sound and the 'Drivehold' Mal
JAMO
The drivehold system add a lot of realism to the DCC sound system. I remember to have this function on an "old" QSI Titan sound decoder. Loksound decoders are really good too.
