The Marlborough Branch

Hi Mal!

I really like the 'overall view' picture from post #109.

The NS GP38-2 looks good and with that factory fitted ESU decoder makes for a nice loco.

I recently got myself a East Penn Railway B30-7 from the last run.

The only dislike so far was the new style packaging from Atlas.

Its a pain if you want to store the loco in the box after running it.

Fastening the mounting screws and so on.

Anyway looking forward to that first video.

Cheers!

Jacques

The loads are removable. Usually, 2 loaded gons arrive and the loads are removed, the gons becoming empties.

When the next loaded gons arrive they are switched with the 2 empties. The sequence is simply repeated, as required.

Yesterday I weathered my new NS GP38-2 using this photo for reference.

The trucks and fuel tank were first painted with enamels and then weathered with powders.

The loco body was given a gray wash.  Quite pleased with the results which are subtle and nicely tone down the shiny, 'out of the box'  look of the loco.

Looks like the 'bomb cyclone' is heading for Marlborough as CSXT MP15AC #1173 switches Mass Container.

Sad to hear of the fatalities caused by the extreme weather in the US. Our condolences go out to the families and friends of those who lost their lives.

So how did Marlborough fair during the storm?! Hopefully everyone in the area is ok, and rail service was not interupted!

Here's a new video of Marlborough in it's rebuilt form (without a run around - cars are now shoved from Marlborough Junction)  featuring my new NS GP38- 2. I love the non-turbo prime mover sound and the 'Drivehold'
