I think I've sussed it!

The local 'major' operator around here is National Express West Midlands. A curious relic in their fleet is 3225 (MOF225), a 1954 Crossley bodied Daimler CVG6, which is used for special duties:

Considering that Canadians have an 'affinity' with Bears, I'm fairly sure I tracked down the Rapido pre-scanned '3225' earlier today:

Do I win a prize?

Hi all,

I'm leaving from Toronto Pearson first thing tomorrow AM.

We really hope you can join us at Wythall. It promises to be a fun event, and it is happening "rain or shine."

Info from Wythall here:

http://www.wythall.org.uk/eventdays.asp#scanday

and our web page is here:

Thanks and regards,

Jason

The logo looks Midland Red-esque.

The bus behind it in the picture is a Birmingham Standard.

Jason has been photographed on the Rapido Facebook page with the top half of an early Birmingham Fleetline showing in a book he's holding.

So, you can perm any eight from ten on that basis.  Could well end up being be a Walsall Fleetline or the Edgely Cox Behemoth 56.  But I don't think it's a Rotmaster, thank God.

Looks like the rivet counters need to check out 3225's flank. Some wonderful bears around Brum and neighbouring towns as part of the fundraiser for Birmingham Childrens' Hospital.

Looks like I won't be attending in any vehicle, I'm playing the real role of inspector Blakey at the weekend.

Good luck to the Rapido team and everyone enjoy themselves, looking forward to seeing photos posted.

Thanks Andy.

Bah Humbug GriffGriff. Railways and buses go hand in hand. Any station scene without a bus is definitely missing something. Even Harry Potter had his bus to go with his train!! :jester:

And railway companies were some of the first to introduce bus services.
