Intercity125
I recently purchased a Piko BR 80 Locomotive (product code 37200) secondhand from a member of the G Scale Society. The loco is boxed and hardly used. In fact it runs very well on my DC controlled garden railway. However, the loco appears to have an issue with the directional lights/lamps. When the loco goes forward the front LEDs are working perfectly, whilst the rear lights (which should remain off) flicker. The same problem occurs when the loco goes in reverse. The problem is exacerbated when it crosses LGB pointwork, but it does continue to flicker along the rest of the track. I am using a 1 Amp LGB old style controller with the transformer/speed control combined in one unit (as opposed to the new style train set controller). Can anyone give me their thoughts or advice on what might be causing this. Many thanks,Paul
Intercity125
Hi Dutch Master, Thanks for explaining the problem to me. My other locos (LGB) appear to be OK. It's just the Piko BR 80 that wants to be naughty. At some point I will convert to DCC but for the time being it will have to remain on DC. Many thanks, Paul
